Embassy Theatre – Queen of the Queen City Drag Pageant – This year’s theme is Halloween Spectacular. Doors and Passport Cafe open in the lobby at 7 pm. The pageant begins at 9 pm. Allegany Arts Council – Symphony Saturdays – Introduce your child to the wonderful world of music and instruments through this fun program. Kids will experience orchestra instruments firsthand with musicians from the Maryland Symphony Orchestra! No previous experience required. Grades 1-5
There are two sessions for each instrument family.
Session “A” – 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Session “B” – 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Gordon-Roberts House – Chainmail with Razmus – You’re invited to the medieval era! Artist, Raz Weissler will be giving a free tutorial on the creation, uses and history of chain mail on Saturday October 14th from 2-4 pm at The Gordon-Roberts House museum on Washington street in Cumberland, MD.
Allegany Museum & Allegany County Historical Society – Museum Coloring Contest on the bricks of Baltimore Street. No age limit to enter. Coloring pages are original drawings by Courtney McKay of local heritage sites. Everyone is a winner- so color a page and follow the Allegany Museum and The Allegany County Historical Society on facebook to see your work posted!
Allegany County Library on Washington Street – Fall displays on main floor, repackaged fall crafts for children that can be picked up at the front desk.
