Friday Music On The Bricks
July 29, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
The Embassy Theatre, located at 49 Baltimore Street on the Downtown Cumberland Mall, announces “Friday Music on the Bricks,” 5-6:30 pm, this Friday, July 29. There is no cost to attend.
Music will be performed outdoors in front of CBIZ, directly across from the theatre, and will feature some of the talent from the theatre’s weekly Open Mic Nights.
Those slated to perform are The Siddhis – pop; Adam Swayne – guitar/vocals; Black Guy Fawkes – pop; Chester Dabrowski – electronica; Ben Childs – singer/songwriter.
In addition, the Embassy Theatre will continue to hold Open Mic Nights on Sunday evenings, 6-10 pm. These events are hosted by local musical group The Siddhis.
Those interested in performing are asked to sign up for a time slot upon arrival. There is no cover charge, and theatre cafe manager Trish Jankey will have the full cash bar open for business at all of the Open Mic Nights.
The Embassy provides three vocal mics, two music stands, guitar amplifier, drum kit, bass guitar and acoustic guitar, if needed.
Mic Nights are held every Sunday evening, featuring singers, musicians and performers. “In addition, the Embassy is a great venue for poetry readings, standup comedy and performance pieces,” states publicity director Trish Morgan. “The acoustics in the theatre are just incredible for anyone who wants some on-stage experience.”
