Cabaret Red Carpet Gala
April 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Put on your suit and tie, and wear your prettiest dress (get all “togged to the bricks!”) and come on down to the Embassy Theatre for the best show in town, Cabaret’s opening night Red Carpet Gala!
There will be vintage classic automobiles from the 1930s rolling down the downtown Cumberland Mall, dropping off the stars of Embassy Theatre’s CABARET to the glorious and lush red carpet! The “snazzy and swell lookers” will step out of the depression-era “tin cans” dressed to the nines and you’ll just “blow your wig” when paparazzi, fans and autograph hounds are everywhere…stretching their necks to get a look at the “sweet patooties and egg and money men!!”
Bring your cameras, take some pictures, schmooze up to the producers, directors, VIPs and stars, and then head into the Embassy’s lobby, which will be set up as an intimate cabaret. Don Stephens will be at the piano, working his digits up and down the keys, tickling those ivories like nobody’s business, setting the evening’s ambiance. There will be a nice assortment of complimentary, delectable finger foods and desserts on the cabaret bar, as well as refreshing Cranberry Pizzazz Punch to quench the thirst. Passport Cafe will also have its cash bar open for business for those age 21+. Guests may mingle in the lobby cabaret or upstairs in the balcony, and all you patrons will have a “ring-a-ding-ding!!”
It is Opening Night for CABARET, with the doors opening at 7:00 pm, production starting at 8 pm. Those attending the Red Carpet Gala may choose to remain for the show, with admission being $18 adults, $16 seniors/children. Starring Danny Durr as the Emcee and Kimberli Rowley as Sally Bowles.
The Red Carpet Gala, as well as Opening Night of CABARET, are open to the public. Suit and tie, and semi-formal attire are required on April 21 only.
