About the instructor, Donna Godlove of Mountain Heather Studios–
Donna has worked with graphite and acrylic for most of her life. Primarily self-taught. She never quite accepted art as a second career until September of 2010, when she started her artistic work anew. This time with pastels; an entirely new medium for her. The more she explored what these sticks of pigment could do, the more she pushed them into unknown territory. It’s the “softness, the life, and the way the light just bounces off the paintings” according to Donna. She has already had solo exhibitions in the short period of time she has been using pastels. Working primarily in soft pastels, Donna has also expanded to include oil pastels, watercolor, and colored pencil work. She gives seminars in both soft and oil pastel. She is a multi-award winning artist.
