4th Annual Save the World Fair

Calling all ACM students from Cumberland, to Somerset, to Bedford!
Are you passionate about wanting to save the world?
Do you have a solution to a problem that the world is challenged with today? Here is your chance to share your ideas and help make the world a better place!
How can you be a change agent?
Enter ACM’s “Save the World Fair,” to be held on Wednesday, April 27th in ACM’s Cumberland Campus – College Center and Auditorium – from – 9 am to 1:00 pm.
Applicants will be asked to create and display a presentation/poster board at the Save the World Fair that tells us how you plan on making a better world possible.
The world needs your best ideas and active participation! The registration deadline is Friday, April 22, 2016.
It’s simple to do! Create a presentation / poster board and:
1) Describe the problem.
2) Explain it with facts and/or statistics in an engaging way.
3) Tell us what your solution is and how it might be accomplished.
WIN PRIZES! Each of the presentations will be voted on by students and staff on April 27th.
“Save the World” Voting Criteria:
1) The problem being presented is clearly illustrated and defined.
2) Background information about the problem is evident, and is engaging, and credible.
3) A creative solution was presented that can be applied in the real world.
PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR THOSE PRESENTATIONS THAT EARN THE MOST VOTES FROM PEOPLE WHO ATTEND THE “SAVE THE WORLD FAIR.”
The top two winners will attend the “Civic Learning & Democratic Engagement Meeting” Tuesday, May 31, 2016 to Saturday, June 4, 2016 * Indianapolis Marriott Downtown • Indianapolis, Indiana – all expenses paid. The third place winner will receive a $100 gift card to Walmart.
The fourth place winner will receive a $50 gift card to the ACM Book Center.
