Downtown Cumberland will host its annual Arts Walk on Saturday, September 9 from 1 pm to 6 pm throughout Historic City Center.

The self-guided walking tours feature opening receptions and exhibitions at local art galleries, museum displays, arts on the streets, live music, and shopping and dining opportunities.

A glass-blowing demonstration by Nick Nies of Nies Glass will be on Baltimore Street as well as creative children’s activities on board the Allegany Arts Council’s Arts Bus.

The evening will culminate in the opening of the Will’s Creek Exhibition, a national juried exhibition hosted by the Allegany Arts Council at its professional Saville and Schwab galleries in Cumberland, Maryland. Now in its 18th year, the Will’s Creek Exhibition features contemporary American art. A gallery talk with the judge of the show starts at 5pm.
